Don't you just love seeing this at a wedding? I definitely do! I would love to have this on my big day but with a small budget, it kind of difficult to squeeze a bit more on my long long long wedding list. That is soo sad:(
Anyway few days back, I received a reply from one of the wedding caterer (yes,i'm still deciding till now) and guess what? Their wedding package includes a special corner of Chocolate Fondue! And only cost $13 500 for 1000pax. How happy can I be? Most wedding caterer quote me the same price but food is limited, especially dessert wise. But this particular one has everything. Which gets me excited! I think this is it, my caterer for my wedding ;)

The budget.
After much thinking, I've decided to make do with a simple but yet once-in-a-lifetime 'grand' wedding.
Things like deco, catering, bridal services and photography, I guess I can't cut cost as much as I want to. Which for me is fine. So minor things like cakes, cards, guestbook services and wedding favours, I've decided to DIY it.And just pray that I have the time to do:)

Plan A
1,Wedding Cakes:
Instead of a 3-tiered cakes which can cost me $400 - $600, I can order some nice cupcakes and a wedding cake (which I plan to order online). And DIY the cupcake/cake stand (which I think don't cost that much). After some calculation, it would only cost me between $150 to $250. YAYYY!

(Something like this)

2.Cards.
Since the fiance request to have it done ourself, we can try and then source out a affordable place for printing. Below is the wedding favours that I personally design for our engagement day. This gets me excited!;)

3.Wedding Favours
I really love the idea of Butter Cookies. We went for fiance cousins wedding and they had that. But fiance strictly says no-no:( I have no idea why. My friends suggest getting a jar from Ikea which costs:4 for $3.90 and fill it with some old-school gems cookies that I can get at cheap price from apek shop. That's really a colourful idea. Provided I have time to do it:)

I just need to buy some ribbons and customised thank you stickers and wa-lahhh!;)

Who doesn't love gems cookies right?

4. Guestbook Services.
I wanted to DIY this too! But after much thinking, I rather leave it to the professional. Beside I really got this at a really affordable price of $200! Which includes the guestboook ($50 extra but since I put an advance deposit, it's waived off), 5 hours photo taking services and props. My whole night of searching pays off!
5. Photoshoot
I really want to have a pre-wedding photoshoot. That is to display our pictures on the wedding dais, like what they normally do at the event. But after much of calculation, budget doesn't side with us. And so, the clever me (ahem, angkat bakul sendiri nampak.hehe) proposed an idea to the fiance. Instead of spending for the photoshoot and stuffs, we can get someone to draw a nice caricature drawing of us and frame it for our guests to see. That doesn't costs a lot and beside it looks fun! Right? ;)

That is my Plan A for now, beside I have 22 more months to go. Just in case, I'm planning for Plan B. Or else........

A Red Velvet one to be precise.
Toodles.
And comment if I've miss out anything.
XOXO
