Don't you just love seeing this at a wedding? I definitely do! I would love to have this on my big day but with a small budget, it kind of difficult to squeeze a bit more on my long long long wedding list. That is soo sad:(
Anyway few days back, I received a reply from one of the wedding caterer (yes,i'm still deciding till now) and guess what? Their wedding package includes a special corner of Chocolate Fondue! And only cost $13 500 for 1000pax. How happy can I be? Most wedding caterer quote me the same price but food is limited, especially dessert wise. But this particular one has everything. Which gets me excited! I think this is it, my caterer for my wedding ;)

The budget.
After much thinking, I've decided to make do with a simple but yet once-in-a-lifetime 'grand' wedding.
Things like deco, catering, bridal services and photography, I guess I can't cut cost as much as I want to. Which for me is fine. So minor things like cakes, cards, guestbook services and wedding favours, I've decided to DIY it.And just pray that I have the time to do:)

Plan A
1,Wedding Cakes:
Instead of a 3-tiered cakes which can cost me $400 - $600, I can order some nice cupcakes and a wedding cake (which I plan to order online). And DIY the cupcake/cake stand (which I think don't cost that much). After some calculation, it would only cost me between $150 to $250. YAYYY!

(Something like this)

2.Cards.
Since the fiance request to have it done ourself, we can try and then source out a affordable place for printing. Below is the wedding favours that I personally design for our engagement day. This gets me excited!;)

3.Wedding Favours
I really love the idea of Butter Cookies. We went for fiance cousins wedding and they had that. But fiance strictly says no-no:( I have no idea why. My friends suggest getting a jar from Ikea which costs:4 for $3.90 and fill it with some old-school gems cookies that I can get at cheap price from apek shop. That's really a colourful idea. Provided I have time to do it:)

I just need to buy some ribbons and customised thank you stickers and wa-lahhh!;)

Who doesn't love gems cookies right?

4. Guestbook Services.
I wanted to DIY this too! But after much thinking, I rather leave it to the professional. Beside I really got this at a really affordable price of $200! Which includes the guestboook ($50 extra but since I put an advance deposit, it's waived off), 5 hours photo taking services and props. My whole night of searching pays off!
5. Photoshoot
I really want to have a pre-wedding photoshoot. That is to display our pictures on the wedding dais, like what they normally do at the event. But after much of calculation, budget doesn't side with us. And so, the clever me (ahem, angkat bakul sendiri nampak.hehe) proposed an idea to the fiance. Instead of spending for the photoshoot and stuffs, we can get someone to draw a nice caricature drawing of us and frame it for our guests to see. That doesn't costs a lot and beside it looks fun! Right? ;)

That is my Plan A for now, beside I have 22 more months to go. Just in case, I'm planning for Plan B. Or else........

A Red Velvet one to be precise.
Toodles.
And comment if I've miss out anything.
XOXO

Happy Anniversary Love!:)

Exactly 1 year ago, we took our relationship to a whole new level. It was one of the best day of my life. At first, i wasn't so sure of where our relationship will head to. But that was nearly 4 years ago. Now, he's my everything. A year plus to go before we settle down and start our own family. To have cute & round young ones (judging from the parents. Hehe).

And update about the big day, alhamdulillah, andaman + photography has been booked. Initially, we wanted to just look at their package and survey around. But my make-up artist is super duper friendly, honest and yes, she's really good lah. Me, Mr Fiance and her have a good 2 and a half hour talk at her boutique, and decided to grab her promotion. Took up the Bridal + Event Photography Promotion at only $2750! Which consists of:

  • 3 Exclusive Couple Outfits
  • Professional Make-Up & Hairdo, Accessories
  • 10 Hours Event Photography (For Nikah & Sanding)
  • 250 Pictures in Exclusive slot in Album, 1 S8R Frame & Edited pictures in DVD
  • Plus Free Complimentary Hand Bouquet!
A good deal I should say. Now waiting for March 2014 to come and have Mr Fiance measurement done before she quote us the additional price for his plus-size. Cute lah tunang saya nie;)

Somehow I feel less stressful when one by one is booked, cos at least I just have to focus on saving up the amount and work my ass off. Hehe;)

Toodles.

I have to tell you that I was one of the happiest girl yesterday after paying the deposit and stuff. Couldn't keep myself from smiling on my night shift. Hehehe;) Anyway I feel really2 lega at least I have start booking. Anyway now, deco is settle. Now, I can decide on the catering. I really have no clue with this cos I jarang go for wedding & for me I tak cerewet tapi tahu kan, parents a bit particular on this especially my mom. She really wanted Doulath Catering as she went to her friend's daughter wedding and fall in love with the food. But on the other hand, my fiance mom thinks otherwise. Hmmm.

Review on Doulath Catering at btb forum is also good and when my mom called up to enquire, my mom really like how Ms Subaidah explaination on the package and price etc. She quoted $10 500 for 1000 paxs which for me is not that bad. So most probably I will go for this or Farah Diana Catering, which my friend recommend. I only have this two in my mind for the catering. Anyway their contacts and details are as below:

A big HELLO.

Hello!

It feels soo good to finally being able to pen down my thoughts. What's running through my mind is wedding. Yes! I'm a bride-to-be. August 2014 is the big date. A year and few months to go. And to tell you, I did not know that it would be so stressful. And expensive too. *faints*

Anyway the fiance and I have decided to hold a combine wedding since we have a very small budget. So far everything is still in planning. And one thing we have agreed on is the theme. A cute one like Carl & Ellie, ours will have lots of colorful props with a trip to Paradise Falls. Paradise to us, is a trip to the country of love, Paris. I've never wanted something so bad as to go here with the person I love. Please let my dream come through:)

Ok, so roughly here is my budget for the BIG day:

Catering: $10 000
Deco: $4000
Andaman: $2500
Photography: $1300
DJ: $550 (booked!)
Kompang: $700
Cake: $500
Wedding Card: $350
Guestbook Service: $400
Henna: $150
Door Gifts: $2000

That just adds up to $22 450. By the way this is roughly my budget for 500 invites. There are thing missing here like gubahan, hantaran and stuffs but lucky me the fiance will manage that or I will go bonkers! Hehe.

So, I will update soon for our wedding venue. Byeeeeeee!:)

And yes, I need to lose 20kg before the big day. Please pray for me >.<
PS: Twenty-two more days to our 43th anniversary and a year as his fiancee:)

XOXO
